Specifying the correct floor is a complex decision, balancing current and future performance criteria against cost and time constraints of installation. A well-specified floor will help to create a brighter, cleaner, safer, more attractive and efficient working environment. Choosing the wrong floor can lead to personal injuries, lost production and premature failure, resulting in frequent maintenance or early replacement.

The numerous advantages of resin flooring systems from BASF Construction Chemicals include:
• Appearance
• Sustainability
• Fast-track installation
• Seamless and joint free
• Monolithically bonded to substrate
• Durable and safe
• Elastomeric and crack bridging
• Wide range of slip resistance
• UV-light stable
• Wear and impact resistant
• Scratch resistant
• Sound deadening
• High chemical resistance
• Hygienic and easy to clean
• Resistant to temperature extremes
• Long-term cost savings
• Suitable for new build and refurbishment
• Compatible with nearly all substrates

BASF – market leaders and innovators
BASF Construction Chemicals’ expertise in resin flooring solutions is based on 40 years of experience acquired from many projects around the world. With continuous investment in the research and development of innovative products to meet our clients’ needs, we are market leaders with an unmatched track record.

Protecting the Environment
As a producer of construction chemicals, BASF has heightened environmental responsibilities. The purchasing of raw materials is from partners meeting the most stringent EU requirements in production; we apply equally strict safety and quality testing. Our end product therefore has the highest possible degree of environmental compatibility. In 2010 BASF became a member of
the Sustainability Consortium

Our ongoing research into the development of new products and the improvement and optimisation of existing flooring systems is underpinned by the use of renewable resources to meet environmental compatibility, quality and performance criteria. Almost all our products are solvent free, making them safe to apply.

We are certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:1996.

Resin flooring lifecycle
Variables in the environmental impact of every floor topping system are apparent at all stages of its lifecycle, including production and use. Each stage in the product’s lifecycle needs to be analysed accurately, weighted and continuously improved to protect the environment. As a result, BASF’s resin flooring systems are subject to testing and analysis by independent third-party experts. These tests provide the basis for further research and development work to improve on our already impressive results. All our systems meet high safety standards and stringent requirements for environmental compatibility and physiological acceptability, verified by external inspection.
